How do you count "real" players and filter fakes?
We poll every DayZ server directly and continuously. Any server showing tell-tale signs of faked population gets flagged and excluded from totals and the live browser. The patterns we catch include counts that never change, blank or mass-duplicated names, huge clusters on one IP, and identical clones across thousands of listings.
Why is a server marked "suspicious" or flagged?
Either our automated detection caught one of the patterns above, or a moderator added a notice after reviewing reports. Open the server page to see the specific reason.
How do I report a server?
Open any server and use the Report button. Pick a reason (fake population, real-money item selling, cheating, abusive admins) and add a short note. Reports are anonymous and rate-limited.
How is the server restart time predicted?
We infer it from the repeating pattern of player-count collapses over recent days. It is an honest estimate, shown only when we are reasonably confident. It is never a value the server self-reports.
I own a server. Can I correct its info or respond to a notice?
Owner verification and editing is coming. In the meantime, email support@dayzmetrics.com and we will help.
What data do you store about me, and can I delete it?
Very little, and never your raw IP. You can ask us to access or delete your data at any time — email support@dayzmetrics.com. The Privacy Policy has the full breakdown, including your GDPR and California rights.
Is dayzmetrics free?
Yes. The website — server browser, trending, map, mod and country pages — is free for everyone, no account needed. The Discord bot is free too; an optional Premium subscription (billed by Discord) adds extras like an unlimited watchlist, more alerts and live panels.
Is there a Discord bot?
Yes — it brings the server list into Discord: look-ups, compare, busy hours and alerts. See the bot page to add it. Premium is billed entirely by Discord; we never see your payment details.
